Easy Spicy Fish Tacos with Avocado & Cabbage Slaw | Tursh Chutney Recipe

We always say you can put Tursh on everything, and these fish tacos are proof. Flaky, spiced fish, creamy avocado, and crunchy cabbage slaw come together in a perfect balance of textures and flavors—made even better with a drizzle of our OG Spicy Green Chutney.

Fish Taco Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 1 lb white fish (cod, tilapia, or halibut)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (a blend of chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and oregano)

  • 1 lime, juiced

For the Cabbage Slaw:

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (red or green, or a mix)

  • 1 small carrot, shredded

  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

  • ½ tsp salt

For the Tacos:

  • 1 avocado, sliced

  • 6 small corn or flour tortillas

  • Tursh's OG Spicy Green Chutney (to taste)

How to Make Spicy Fish Tacos:

Servings: Makes 6 tacos, serving 2-3 people.

1. Prepare the Fish:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F or heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Pat the fish dry and coat it with olive oil, taco seasoning, and lime juice.

  • If baking, place on a lined sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until flaky. If pan-searing, cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

2. Make the Slaw:

  • In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrot, and cilantro.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar, sprinkle with salt, and toss to combine. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to marinate.

3. Assemble the Tacos:

  • Warm tortillas in a dry pan for 30 seconds per side.

  • Layer each tortilla with fish, cabbage slaw, and avocado.

  • Drizzle generously with our OG Spicy Green Chutney for the perfect final touch.

4. Serve & Enjoy!
