Chickpea Curry with a Kick — A Cozy Weeknight Favorite

When we think of the ultimate comfort meal, this chickpea curry hits every note: hearty, warming, and just the right amount of heat. It’s the kind of dish that fills your kitchen with cozy spice aromas and leaves you licking your plate clean.

We’ve given this classic a little Tursh twist, building flavor with @holapikora’s Chicken Bone Broth powder and finishing it off with a bold drizzle of our OG Spicy Green Chutney. The result? Creamy, tangy, soul-hugging goodness.

Here’s how to make it at home:

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil

  • 1 bunch broccolini

  • Salt & pepper

  • ½ onion, sliced

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes (fresh or canned)

  • 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)

  • 1 can unsweetened coconut milk

  • ½ tsp each: cumin, coriander, curry powder, garlic powder

  • Pinch of chili flakes (or more, if you like it spicy)

  • 1 scoop @eatpikora Chicken or Beef Bone Broth Powder

  • Yogurt (for serving)

  • Tursh OG Spicy Green Chutney (for drizzling)

Instructions:

  1. Sauté the greens. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté broccolini with salt and pepper until just tender. Set aside.

  2. Caramelize the onions. In the same pan, add more oil if needed and slowly caramelize the sliced onion until golden. Add garlic and let it soften.

  3. Build your curry. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook down slightly. Add garbanzo beans, coconut milk, and all your spices.

  4. Add depth. Stir in a scoop of @holapikora's bone broth powder — chicken or beef both work beautifully. Let the curry simmer for 10–15 minutes until it thickens and the flavors come together.

  5. Assemble the plate. Spread a generous spoon of yogurt on the bottom of a bowl or plate. Top with sautéed broccolini, then spoon over the hot chickpea curry. Finish with a drizzle of our Spicy Green Chutney for that signature herby heat.

Why We Love It
It’s simple, nourishing, and makes the perfect weeknight dinner, especially when you’re craving something warm and filling. The bone broth adds richness and protein, while the chutney brings the brightness that makes it unforgettable.

This one’s been on repeat in our kitchen, and we have a feeling it’ll become a go-to in yours too.

Noosh-e-jaan (may it nourish your soul) ✨
